Haven't watercooled in awhile

I sold all my watercooling gear and went to air for about a year. This weekend, I picked up all the DD gear at Microcenter and the waterbox plus at Fry's. I had a Mountain Mods case, but it was beat up and loud. I can hardly even hear this thing sitting right next to me.

BIX Xtreme II XFlow (Not the best, but didn't want to wait for Thermochill)

Waterbox Plus Case (10.00 cheaper at Fry's than DD and no shipping).




The CPU temp is a little high for my taste, but it is still about 5-6 c cooler than with the Zalman 9700 in the huge MM case with like 8 120mm fans. The block is mounted correctly too.... The 8800GT dropped from 55c idle to 33. That monster dumping all that heat into the system is probably affecting my CPU temps a little.

so what temps are you getting?

The CPU was idling at 41-42 @ 3.23 and would hit 56 @ load all on stock vcore of 1.35. I reseated the block and used my dab of AS5 in the middle instead of the Zalman brush on stuff I used before and the temps are more respectable now.



I'm at 3.375 now, with a tad bumped up vcore and the highest I've seen the load is 44-45c.

Looks great dude. The low 30's idle isnt bad at all. Also that load is respectable if it's full.
