Author: Alex I've been using this reservoir for about 3 months now, and have had no problems. The fittings are mounted a bit too high in my opinion, so the reservoir has to be completely full to avoid sucking air back into the system. Aside from that, construction quality seems to be quite solid, and the optional LED's (I used the green ones with a pulsing circuit) add a very cool touch.

Author: Black Magix Grabbed this res for use in my first loop. Easy enough to fill to a point but due to it's nature your always going to have an air bubble somewhere. The only design fix I would implement is to lower the plugs for the draw and push into the reservoir to help reduce the amount of air that my D4 is sucking through it.

Author: CounterMeasure The construction is good, and no leaks after several weeks of using.

Author: Jack Finchum So far so Good the Smoke version is HOTT!

Author: Mez Lombard Dont buy this :(
Yeah its a SOLID well made product that will last MANY years. However due to its very shalow depth, my D5 pump on setting 2/5 starts to suck air in, as you can NEVER fill these things 100%. Also the water moves thru so fast (2/5) it creates turbulance which creates air bubbles.
Spend the extra $2 and get the dual instead.

Author: HARDLOCK Looks nice BUT the seal plug cracked after 2 months and leaked fluid everywhere. DangerDen doesn't sell replacement so had to by ANOTHER $30 tank just for the plug. The 2nd plug cracked AGAIN after 1 month. Need WAY better design on plug or at least sell an upgrade for plug. Product is WORTHLESS without a reliabe plug!

Author: Ripp Nicely made and no leaks for me but this resevoir is not made for a high end pump. Im using a D5 vari and it sounds like running water at 5-3 settings. You can not completely fill this resevoir so there is always a small area with air at the top and the pump will suck that air right down the tube if you have it turned up. I recommend the double 5 1/4 for high end pumps (havent tried one myself, went for just the T line). The Swiftech micro res sounds like it works nicely with the high end pumps as well.

Author: Thorne Product is great does what I need, but as said above Seal Plug cracked for me too. Need to supply a replacement option, or even a aluminum alternative to have true reliability.

Author: Connor007 great product, very solid, although very hard to keep full, you must fill it while the pump is running, but then it works fantastic. they now are shipping with improved plugs and the reliability of this product went through the roof. i have owned mine for almost a year and it hasn't failed me yet!

Author: Brad Mine worked great for a year and started to leak very slowly right through a seam at the TOP edge of the unit! It took me a long time to find that leak and it almost cost me my videocard. Plugs are plastic, and nowhere near strong enough. Other than that, it was great.

Author: Richard A Have been using this unit for 1.5 years now in my custom setup. No problems what so ever. I mounted it in my case at a slight angle with nozzles at lowest point to minimize chance of water bubbles getting into the outgoing nozzle. The slight sound of water flowing is relaxing and lets me know that the pump is functioning properly. I run the D5 (setting 4) with a CPU, Chipset and GPU water blocks in the loop. I also use Fluid XP+ blood red color. Great product Danger Den!

Author: Keith Swalin This is my first water cooling set up, and the reservoir is a little difficult to get completely full.I just left it unscrewed until filling was complete so I could guide the air bubble to the fill port. Nice design though, the little bit of air left actually works as a kind of flow indicator; visible from the front off the case while in operation.

Author: Brewmaster I have had this reservoir in a loop with a CPX-Pro pump for about 6 months without a problem. I found that you can mount it at a slight angle and get rid almost all of the air inside avoiding any problems of sucking air into your loop.

Author: Marc Cepeda This is a good reservoir that looks great in a spare 5.25" bay. I especially loved how the DD logo is engraved into the face, BUT...
...the problem appears to be the difficulty or inability to totally remove the air from this reservoir, which becomes a problem when using the 1/2" fittings and more specifically, with a strong pump.
I am using the CPX-Pro Pump, and even on the lowest setting using a fan controller, there is turbulence in the reservoir that leads to bubbles being created that get sucked into the system. Part of the problem is the design of the frame around the fill-port. It allows air to get trapped around the edges and almost impossible to get them out.
As another user suggested and if you have the room, get the double-bay version or any of the others. I found that standing the reservoir on its face DOES allow you to remove all the air, but you need to completely bleed out your system before placing the reservoir back into place, otherwise, the bubbles come back.

Author: Christian Stratton I used this res yesterday in my first ever water cooling system. Like others have stated before, there are those few anoying bubbles that remain arrouned the doubled section by the fill port no matter what you do. The sound of the gurgling water was even there at half the pump speed. Didnt mind it at first but after a few houres became slightly irritating. Over all though, there are many things I like about it. It lookes great and the barb locations seemed like they were made for my loop.
-I am using the CPX-Pro pump, TDX CPU water block, Black ice pro 240, DD single bay res, Tygon 1/2 tubing and Feser one: red UV

Author: Joseph Lerner Had mine in us for 2 years. No leaks around the edges and barb placement has never been a problem. This is my first loop.
If I were to make any changes it would be the plug and plug area. The plastic plug is very shallow meaning you don't have very far to tighten before you bottom out. Over tighten and you could have problems. I use a US Quarter to open/close it. To specifically address the air-trap there, there is a ring of acrylic that holds the plug and hangs down into the res. This area should be redesigned, perhaps have that lowered section extend all the way to the walls - the gap there is probably 3/16 of an inch or less.
I like the trickling water sound and the bubbles swirling around. Its like some counter-top decorative fountain. I left the loop sealed for over a year and only a few bubbles have formed.
