Author: chenlahav WOW!!!!! this pump is so quiet that i can hear my hard drive over it. and exelent flow too.
Author: pepper compared with the 'benchmark' for noise vs. power, the eheim 1250... how noisy is it compared to that pump as that was near silent.
Author: Tyler M This pump is awesome. It is very quiet once all the air is out of the system. Only sound it makes is a sort of "high-pitched" screeched like when the TV is on. Some people can't hear those things though and I have to be about a foot or closer to
Author: Doug G My friend just received his, and we find it is only quite if you turn the power way down. Whats the point in getting a big pump if you must turn it down to stop noise?
Author: Vertigo Quiet is in the ear of the beholder it seems; this pump is definitly quieter than the D4 pump it replaced in my system, and both my radiator fans and my power supply fan are louder than it! If you're looking for the best ratio of performance/noise, then t
Author: Ken As Tyler Said, once all the air is out of the system, it is very very quiet. The first time I turned this thing on I was surprised how powerful it really is
Author: Curtybob I think this pump kicks hiney. It's quiet (IMO) and pumps ALOT of water. I had a cheap fountain pump rated for 1000 gph and 6' of head, but I have a pretty long waterloop and a TDX with the #4 nozzle. The D5 spanks the big pump. Don't know by how much, bu
Author: r00k This pump is fantastic. I built an entirely Danger Den water setup based on 1/2 inch tubing. opting to leave this pump on its max setting, it whirred right to life when all was ready. Getting the air bubbles completely out of the system is the KEY to m

Author: scorp Very powerfull, but not for silent-PCs, unless you turn the dial to 2 or 1. For people looking for quiet pumps it's definitely not worth it. Like Doug G said : no point in buying a powerfull pump and turn it down.
Author: Grunnsetning Extremely good flow when cranked up and is still VERY quiet.Even on low still flows as good as my D12 and just as quiet.
Author: Jamie This pump is pretty amazing, virtually no noise, certainly the quietest pump i have heard (again once all the air is out of the system)
Author: Owen C This is a superb pump! Very quiet and powerful. The sound of water flowing through my reservoir is 10 times louder than the pump. It's very important to get the air out though.
Author: Gold3nMan Holy Crap!!! This is the most quiet, fast, smallest pump I have used. I had the MAG3 and that was really loud and bubled up the water alot. This one does not do that, plus it has an adjustable flow rate. Oh Man, I cant say enough about this one. Get

Author: Alex Deffinatly quiter than D4 but noise is still an issue, im using the foam for pelts around the pump, to quieten it slightly,
Author: Rick C. The first time I ran this pump, it was loud. But after getting all the air out of the system, the noise of the pump dropped way down. I even placed the pump as the lowest part in my cooling system. This helped the coolant to run through the pump.
Author: John This pump is great. Once the air was bled out the pump doesn't make a noise. The pump has more than enough power to pump through 3 blocks.
Author: Richard S. Very powerful, very quiet once air is bled off (contrary to what other reviewrs said), and had no troubles when using Tygon. Great product!
Author: Andy I love this pump, it is so well built, very small and dead quiet even on the #5 setting I can't even hear it at all, I had a Hydor L35 and the noise it made was way too LOUD even when all the air was out, this pump is 100 times better. Also would not reco
Author: Eric (Taxi-Driver) Very nice pump, easily handels my cpu and sli blocks, very quiet and powerful.
Author: Andrey I was wondering what the dimensions of this pump are. I gotta know if it will fit in my Silverstone TJ07 without too much clutter (as 1/2" tubing tends to create).
Author: Dave Alfaro This is great pump. Its a little hummer at the #5 setting, but nothing i cant live with.
Author: Ishbuu Wonderfully silent pump. Once you finish getting out all the air (I used 3.5 speed for most of it and 5 for the last bits) Brilliant, works quite nice through an RBX, two 6800s in SLi and a Black Ice Extreme flawlessly :)
Author: latin quite-as-a-mouse, powerfull too!!!
Author: ROBERT BEST AND MOST REALIABLE PUMP ON THE MARKET! I have a huge circuit which concist of 3/8, and 1/4 tubbing cooling MY CPU (PRESCOTT 3.4 Running at 21.4C Idle, 28.9C Load) Northbridge Chip, VGA Chip, 2 SATA HDD's, & 2 DDR Sticks! Pump is quiet as my gf's
Author: Ducky Nice little pump! Decently quiet even on highest setting. Pushes nice amount of liquid too -- coupled with TDX and Black Ice Xtreme, keeps my AXP Mobile 2400+ (stock 1.8GHz) OC'ed to 2.5GHz at 31*C Prime95 load!
Author: Derek Super quiet. I thought it was loud at first, very disappointed. Then all the air bled out of the system and it was silent! (even on highest setting). This thing keeps my high flow system rockin'! Thanks DD!
Author: good its not bad pretty loud when its on high i keep mine at medium
Author: OneWingedAngel_ I bought this pump with a TDX CPU block, and you don't hear it as long as the air is out of the loop. Probably one of the best pumps on the market ^_^
Author: tommy rydberg This is a small quiet little monster that cools my gpu cpu and nf4 without ant probs! i just love this pump! Greetings from Sweden
Author: Appolyon Wow! this pump is so much better then the D4! It is much quieter even on 5th stand. Great temperature's even with (CPU/GPU/NB/HDD loop) in the WC loop.
Author: Wolf Have this in my rig cooling the CPU, GPU, North, South and PhysX card. Have a black ice ex 240 and a black ice ex 120 in the loop for max cooling. Very quiet. cant say how it cools as I have had to replace my evga mother board for the 3rd time now (its gonna be replaced with the GigaByte 680i board) This pump rocks and once the air is gone its as quiet as the dead.
Author: Antony Leather Nearly silent if mounted on foam. If you screw it straight to the case or even use gel then it will be noisy as will any pump. I mounted mine on sound insulation/pump filter foam and its easily as quiet as my old Eheim 1250.
Author: Fats71 I have had this since it came out and I am impressed with its longevity but not the noise level...
It is loud.. It will hoever run water thru a long loop on #5
Author: Eric This was my first time doing anything with water cooling, so I had no idea what to expect since "pretty loud" or "quiet" are all relative terms.
I am impressed with how quiet it is. The pump gives off a high-pitched continuous tone, that I (with good ears) can only hear when I level with the pump within a few feet. When I put the pump inside the case, I hear nothing at all, it's amazing.
On the down-side, I tried to adjust the speed of the pump to see how it would effect the system, and the red dial made a loud snapping noise when turned to 4. I quickly turned it back to 3 and haven't had a complaint since.
Author: radodrill Great pump; near silent even at full speed :) After going H2O a yr ago I'm not going to go back to air.
Got a second one going into my DangerDen sponsored rig.
Author: Ripp I have this pump and its so damn quiet i cant even hear it. Even when it was sucking air bubbles as i was bleeding it it was very quiet. I hear people saying it makes a high pitched tone or a lot of noise when it hits a air pocket while bleeding.... i must have lucked out, this pump is working nice.
I did start out with MCT 5 which has a pump lubricant in it, but have changed to distilled water and zerex a day later because of a leak i was fixing.. maybe the lubricant helped out.
Author: sMORGASBORD Superb Pump!
I and my friend have ordered total new water cooling systems from DD and we use this Pump.
This pump really do its job good, and I run it in full effect and I can hardly hear it.
We use ½ inch DD high flow fittings and Tygon / UV tubings.
We cool Q9450 CPU (MC-TDX Block) and 9800gx2 (DD-9800gx2 Block) graphic card whit ASUS Striker II Extreme (water cooled) motherboard, and it cools great!
Author: Dima Prok This pump is very nice! Powerfull and quiet. My only gripe is connections style - it's molded for 1/2" ID tube only and you can't change it, unlike other pumps where you can screw in different fittings. I found that between speed setting of 3 and 5 there is 2 C degree improvement. But having on 5 water makes noise while running through my reservour, I think the noise might go away if I top reservour completely.
Author: Marc S This is a reasonably quiet pump. The only noise I hear is when I have air in my system. It's also really powerful.
Author: Jake M WOW. This pump rocks. Very quiet and moves the water at a great pace on the 5 setting. I use the 4 setting for my app but man, this thing does its job.
Author: JOhn Great pump. A bit big but it performs excellently and is very quiet.
I've been using it for quite a while, since it first came out.
Author: DanT Just started using the pump. it only took seconds to get the air out of the system. very quite and efficient
Author: Extremestriker07 I have this pump for 3 yeard now. I am satisfield..
Author: Tek One word.
