Author: Bill H I started having heat issues with my 5 year old x6800 system and finally gave in to head to Micro Center. I decided to go with the Corsair 700d case for an i7 870 that I wanted to be my first water cooled set up. I purchased the MC-TDX for the 1156 as the core of the system with the D5 pump and 360 rad. I was able to have a stable OC to 4.3Mhz with the fans at full and a temp of 83C on prime 95 for an hour. This block was simple to install on my Asus P7P55D-E Mobo and the included barbs handled the 1/2 ID tubing with out a drip. I backed my rig down to 4Ghz to give me a little more room to max TJ and back off the fan noise. Been stable as a rock with idle ~25C and 100% load ~78C. Great block, very happy I went with DD for my first WC attempt!
