PRODUCT REVIEW
My friend just received his, and we find it is only quite if you turn the power way down. Whats the point in getting a big pump if you must turn it down to stop noise?

Product: DD-GTX285

Review: Had this block for about a year now. Works great and keeps my BFG 285 (v1) card in the 55 and below range under full excruciating load. At idle it is low 40 to high 30 in a 25c room. It is on the same loop as an i7 920 so I use a GTX 480 rad and 4 x hi-rev Scythe Slipstreams - OCing is no problem and the thermals remain astonishingly nearly the same. DD loop is all copper, with FB fittings and Feser1 Red UV. Was part of my first liquid system - DD for life.

Review: I've been using this over 5 years, no probs in a LL PC71. Started cooling an FX57 back in the day, now a i7 920. I run 6 fans push/pull for low speed quiet-ish operation.

Product: (Discontinued) DD-Single 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir

Review: Had mine in us for 2 years. No leaks around the edges and barb placement has never been a problem. This is my first loop. If I were to make any changes it would be the plug and plug area. The plastic plug is very shallow meaning you don't have very far to tighten before you bottom out. Over tighten and you could have problems. I use a US Quarter to open/close it. To specifically address the air-trap there, there is a ring of acrylic that holds the plug and hangs down into the res. This area should be redesigned, perhaps have that lowered section extend all the way to the walls - the gap there is probably 3/16 of an inch or less. I like the trickling water sound and the bubbles swirling around. Its like some counter-top decorative fountain. I left the loop sealed for over a year and only a few bubbles have formed.

Product: DD12V-D5 Pump Fixed Speed by Laing

Review: Powerful pump for high-end cooling, but if speed is set above #3 some high-frequency sound is emitted from the motor, this sound is really disturbing me at night. My Eheim1250 is 20% less powerful, but a bit quieter(good amorted, no noticeable sound at all).

Review: As always, a good block from DD. Would be better IMHO if the stock RAM backplate was replaced with one that connects to the frontplate. Right now, the RAM on the back of the card isn't being cooled by the coolant.

Product: Stealth GTS 360 Black Ice

Review: With this radiator I'm running an original TDX (i7, stock) and a DD 4870 X2 block, and an X58 block. It can barely exchange all the heat, but it does great with low speed fans (1000rpm). Load temps are 30C over ambient on cpu (not improvement), and 30C over amb on GPU (improvement). Hot to the touch.

Product: Black-Series Tower 26

Review: Just recived this case recently. first off gota love that i paid for fedex ground but they are so close that it comes nextday :) I loved the packaging also everything comes extremly well packaged and wraped then laid on foam an has "peanuts" all around it. orded this case with some slight customizations and the dd staff was amazing they were friendly and worked with me every step and made sure that everything was the way that i wanted, and i accually was supprised to find that everything that i ordered custom came the way i wanted it. which isnt always the case in the world now adays. Case Quality: The case quality is superb but not perfect. i have an issue with the rough edge on the inside of the bottom 120mm hole and there are a few nicks and such from where the cutting machine ran over a tiny little bit. appart from that the case is sturdy and well made. gotta love dangerden ive been eyeballing their stuff for about 10 years and i can finally afford it. its really nice to see a company out there who cares. in recent years quality has gone down the shitter because no one accually cares what they are doing and have the drive to give an effort to do the best, and I feel like dangerden has taken that extra step to make some amazing products. -NKrader

Product: (Discontinued) DD-Single 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir

Review: I used this res yesterday in my first ever water cooling system. Like others have stated before, there are those few anoying bubbles that remain arrouned the doubled section by the fill port no matter what you do. The sound of the gurgling water was even there at half the pump speed. Didnt mind it at first but after a few houres became slightly irritating. Over all though, there are many things I like about it. It lookes great and the barb locations seemed like they were made for my loop. -I am using the CPX-Pro pump, TDX CPU water block, Black ice pro 240, DD single bay res, Tygon 1/2 tubing and Feser one: red UV

Product: Mini Torture Rack

Review: I'd been wanting a "bench test case" for years... and had never found anything quite right. I had almost given up and was going to try to make something myself, when I found this... The "mini-torture-rack" is great for building up a new system in a way that's easy to troubleshoot. Any new system I work on is built up in this first, then gets migrated into a more "permanent" case only once everything is known to be right. There are a few minor quibbles... it would be nice to be able to have two power supplies and a full set of optical and/or hard drives, while today the power-supply and optical drives sort of occupy the same space... meaning if you have two power supplies in the case, you can't have any drives mounted, and if you want more than the two HD and one optical on one side mounted, you'll need to leave the power supply external. Still, that's really a "quibble," not a real design flaw (since doing otherwise would make the whole thing significantly larger).

Product: DD Tower - 16

Review: This case is the one currently being used by the company 'Smooth Creations' for their 'LANShark' series computers, along with Danger Den water cooling systems. The only difference is custom cutting to have SC instead of DD over the fans and an unbelievable paintjob. The overall build quality of the case is very good. The case is very well constructed and cut, with a sturdy feel for being made out of acrylic. Just don't forget that it is acrylic. I do have to give minor fault to the nuts on all the structural screws. If you remove any of those screws, be very careful since the nuts are free to slide and fall. The side panel was also overly tight and difficult to remove but chances are this is an effect of the paint job and not Danger Den's work. The UV Blue motherboard tray and panels are nice looking with in case black lights, though only minorly reactive. However, when under the effect of a full size black light they glow a very nice blue. This is not a ding on Danger Den, just pointing out that in case black lights lack enough power to make the most of the UV reactive panels. Despite its small size, the case handles a 1000w power supply, 3.5" HDD, two 2.5" SSDs, GTX 285, water cooling, three 12" cold cathodes, two 8" cold cathodes, and their controllers with plenty of open room for air flow. Just be careful with your wiring and you'll be fine. I would love to talk about appearance, but mine showed up with a custom multi-layer paint job. The combined effect of the case and paint job is a work of art so I whole heartedly recommend getting this case custom painted.

Product: (Discontinued) DD-Single 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir

Review: This is a good reservoir that looks great in a spare 5.25" bay. I especially loved how the DD logo is engraved into the face, BUT... ...the problem appears to be the difficulty or inability to totally remove the air from this reservoir, which becomes a problem when using the 1/2" fittings and more specifically, with a strong pump. I am using the CPX-Pro Pump, and even on the lowest setting using a fan controller, there is turbulence in the reservoir that leads to bubbles being created that get sucked into the system. Part of the problem is the design of the frame around the fill-port. It allows air to get trapped around the edges and almost impossible to get them out. As another user suggested and if you have the room, get the double-bay version or any of the others. I found that standing the reservoir on its face DOES allow you to remove all the air, but you need to completely bleed out your system before placing the reservoir back into place, otherwise, the bubbles come back.

Product: Tygon 3603 Tubing

Review: I was introduced to Tygon tubing while serving in the US NAVY. This tubing was used in Randolph pumps for sucking water and oil out of the bilges. This tubing lasted longer for our application due to its excellent characteristics. The tubing is more flexible and durable for a variety of temperature changes. It does not pinch water flow due to 90 degree bends, given some arching room of course. It does not have "memory" of damage due to extreme handling like vinyl hose does. It bounces right back if you kink it once you release forces that kinked it from it. I think there is nothing like this tubing on the market. I am aware that this brand of tubing is the chosen brand for hospital applications due to many of the same characteristics I mentioned. Cons: Much more expensive than the vinyl alternative.

Product: Black Ice GTX480

Review: I'm not an experienced watercooler, but this 4 fan radiator seems to work beautifully. I had to decide on either watercooling my 2 9800gx2 cards or replacing them within the next 4 months due to overheating (they were running around 105c on full load). After installing this radiator and an Eheim 1250 pump my temps never get beyond 35c. The only con is this thing is big and you will more than likely need a custom case to install it in. Mine is on the outside of the case currently. My next system build will more than likely incorporate 2 of these radiators for GPU, CPU, northbridge, southbridge and perhaps HDD cooling on two seperate loops (I like overkill) in a custom case

Product: DD-4870-X2 Water Block

Review: These things have completely stabilized my system. I have two 4870x2s in crossfire and I was getting temperatures under load of 70-75 degrees Celsius or more with the stock fans and heatsinks, even with the fan speed at 80 percent or more. As a result, applications just quit after awhile. Now, I get an idle temperature on the primary card of 29-30 degrees Celsius (the second card is about 33-34 degrees C at idle), with temperatures under full load (e.g. playing Crysis, Far Cry 2, etc. for an hour or more at a time) of 40-44 degrees Celsius maximum. I have had only one crash (playing Mass Effect) since I installed the blocks a week ago, and I am not sure I would blame the cards for that. The only trouble I noticed was coolant leaked from the little screws near the nozzles on one of the blocks when I first fired up the pump. The leaking quit when I backed off one of the nozzles slightly, and it has been bone dry ever since. I am using a Koolance external unit and 3/8-inch tubing. Other than that little glitch, I have no complaints. Great product!
